Something more about Shelton Kartun B.Sc(Hons) DMS M.BAAM M.ASC
Born in Johannesburg in 1960, Shelton trained and worked in the UK for 20 years and was co-founder of the British Association of Anger Management. He is
the founder and director of The Anger & Stress Management Centre of South Africa, established upon his return to SA in 2004. He has a medical and corporate background, having originally studied at Wits
University to post-graduate level before leaving for the UK in 1984.
He has conducted numerous courses, workshops and seminars for organisations in the the private and public sector as
well as NGO’s. He has helped numerous children, teenagers, adults, parents and couples have a better relationship with their anger and handle conflict and stress. He has trained professionals such as counsellors,
teachers, health workers and social workers in anger management and trained the trainer. He has made numerous appearances on local and international TV and has appeared regularly in the press on issues such as anger
and rage, and has authored papers on these.
In South Africa he appeared with Noleen on 3Talk (SABC TV), spoken on SA FM, Voice of the Cape, 702, Cape Talk and Radio Islam, and been featured in
Sarie, Essentials, Shape, Vrouekeur, Your Baby, The Sunday Times and Tyger Burger.
He has also been involved in stress counselling, conflict and behaviour management.
He is passionate about his work and has been able to transform many peoples lives in a relatively short period of time. Now back in South Africa, he is
actively helping those who have issues with their anger and emotions as well as stress. He is taking on more and more corporate clients as they realise the need for anger and stress management in the workplace as a
preventative measure that equips employees to manage their own, and others anger and emotion better.
He is available for workshops, seminars, talks, media interviews as well as to see individuals by appointment. There is also the option of receiving
support by way of email correspondence or the telephone.
His vision is to grow the centre and have branches around South Africa where the very best in anger management can be accessed locally by those who need
